Talking Shop: The Tobacco Road H-D Family

Meet Jeremy, one of our Tobacco Road family members. He believes “Owning a motorcycle like a Harley Davidson becomes a part of your DNA. Memories are made on two wheels, [and] friendships are found.”

When it comes to his motorcycle maintenance, he says “Maintenance on anything is important. You either pay upfront for maintenance or down the road for repairs.[...]

For several reasons, I choose to have Tobacco Road Harley Davidson’s service department work on my bike. The first reason is that these folks are the experts at Harley motors. They receive the most up-to-date training, and it could be argued they get the most experience thanks to the volume of motorcycles they touch. The second reason is the atmosphere. On every single occasion, I have been welcomed in with a greeting. I am now on a first-name basis with many of the team, and while I receive no preferential treatment, I feel like a VIP while I wait.”

Before his longest trip, he brought his Road Glide Limited in for a 5,000-mile service.

My longest motorcycle trip was in February of 2023 when I left Rocky Mount, NC, at midnight and traveled, over the course of 3 days, to Phoenix, Arizona. [...] Looking back, the most important thing I did for the trip was to make sure my maintenance was current, as at any point, I could have been stranded miles from the next gas station stop in the cold rain.”

We love to hear about our customers' adventures on two wheels. It makes all our hard work beyond worth it when we get to see them again with that many more miles under their belts. Most importantly, they make it back safely and without any issues.
