Meet Ashley Alexander, the Riding Academy Liaison at Tobacco Road Harley-Davidson and Local Artist
In the heart of Raleigh, North Carolina, there's a place where dreams of the open road and the roar of powerful engines come alive. Tobacco Road Harley-Davidson, a name synonymous with iconic motorcycles and the freedom of the open highway, has a secret weapon in the form of their Riding Academy Liaison, Ashley Alexander. But Ashley isn't just about Harley-Davidson; she's also the creative force behind Shiny Side Paint, LLC, a motorcycle painting company that's making waves in the industry.
The Riding Academy at Tobacco Road H-D is not just a place to learn to ride; it's an experience, and Ashley is at the forefront of ensuring that every rider feels welcomed, informed, and ready to hit the road. When you sign up for the Riding Academy, you won't receive automated responses or generic messages. Instead, you'll have a real person, Ashley, reaching out to you. She'll personally guide you through everything you need to know, making sure you're comfortable before your class begins.
Ashley's journey to becoming the Riding Academy Liaison at Tobacco Road Harley-Davidson is as unique as her artwork. In 2020, during the midst of the pandemic, she made the bold decision to leave her job in restaurant management and follow her passion for art full-time. While she had been funding her artistic endeavors with her restaurant job, she couldn't ignore her true calling any longer. This courageous step led to the birth of Shiny Side Paint, LLC.
Now, Ashley's artistry graces the walls of Tobacco Road Harley-Davidson and adorns their t-shirts, thanks to her first licensing deal with the dealership. Her designs capture the spirit of the Harley-Davidson brand, showcasing the freedom, adventure, and rebellion that have made these motorcycles legendary.
But Ashley's creative journey doesn't end there. She's currently participating in an exciting contest, the Klutch Welding Helmet Design Sweepstakes, organized by Northern Tool + Equipment. This competition brings together two artists who were chosen as winners of the Perewitz Custom Paint Show in Sturgis, during the annual bike rally. These artists are tasked with creating unique designs on Klutch welding helmets, and the winning design will be featured on a limited-edition Klutch Welding Helmet sold at Northern Tool + Equipment.
Ashley's fellow competitor, Garret Livingston, from Jackson, Missouri, shares her passion for artistry and motorcycles. Garret, who founded Garret Customs, paints and builds custom bikes and cars full-time. His journey into painting began in 2019 when he wanted to keep as much work in-house as possible, leading to the creation of his own custom vehicle company. His design for the competition is themed "Hot Rod."
Ashley's design for the Klutch Welding Helmet competition is themed "Funky." Both artists will submit their finished works in time for voting to begin on February 1, and a winner will be announced on February 12.
Northern Tool + Equipment, the host of this exciting contest, is a family-owned company that has been serving both DIYers and trades professionals for over 40 years. They offer a vast selection of high-quality tools and equipment and pride themselves on their knowledgeable and helpful customer service team, available through their retail stores, online, and over the phone.
As Ashley Alexander continues her journey as the Riding Academy Liaison at Tobacco Road Harley-Davidson and as an artist with Shiny Side Paint, LLC, she is leaving an indelible mark on the motorcycle world. Her dedication to making the Riding Academy experience personal and memorable, along with her artistic talents, make her a standout figure in the Harley-Davidson community. And who knows, if she wins the Klutch Welding Helmet Design Sweepstakes, her unique "Funky" design could become a symbol of craftsmanship and creativity for motorcycle enthusiasts nationwide. So, whether you're revving up for a riding adventure or appreciating the artistry of custom helmets, Ashley Alexander is a name to watch in the world of motorcycles and design.
